Designer Susan Merrick from Albany NY creates her fresh and bright collection of printed items with  a flare for color and whimsy. You can check out her whole portfolio at her website Here .

At the Frock Shop website, you can buy her holiday card packs under 'gifts' and her cute tote bags under 'handbags'. I also have a collection of her single greeting cards available in the Seattle shop.

ALSO! Back in the shop (and on the website) is my best seller super cute Jacket by Freeway. Product0702

It's a sweatshirt weight 3/4 sleeve jacket with gathers  and are $68. I have all colors right now: Teal, Black, Purple & Brown. They go fast though!

Flat Wallets online now...

Flat_wallets I have recently had a lot of enquiries on the flat wallets that I had for sale in the shop. I have just received a delivery of fun flat wallets from another brand while my usual flat wallets are on backorder. I have put them up on the Website for easy order. Let me know if you are looking for more colors, in a few weeks I have pink, gold, purple and fabric ones coming.

Fall and more happenings...

So, with four (!) days until the wedding and then off on honeymoon (Hawaii!) we won't be able to post any more new items on the site until October. We did manage to get our fall fashion shoot done on Sunday, so the website is updated with gorgeous pictures of Lucy, our model & friend in cute new Fall items. Here is a look at one of the collage pics, more on the site, www.shopfrockshop.com

As soon as we are back in town, the site will be full of gorgeous fall product, the store is getting filled up with yummy frocks, coats, sweaters, hats & gloves. See you soon!

Plans, Plans, Plans...

So, I havn't been writing much about the wedding plans as I sort of want to save a lot of it to show after the day. I have gone a bit Martha with a few projects because I really felt like I needed to make something for the wedding for it to be real :) For people who are handy and crafty, you will know what I mean.

Toppers_3 Cake Toppers: I've made the cake topper, but I'm only going to post my inspiration pictures here for now. The upper left hand topper is by Denise Sharp, the bottom left is by Ann Wood and the bottom right is by Ashley Carter. We are having a cake stand that holds 4-5 cakes instead of one big wedding cake. The Wholefoods here is Seattle do beautiful cakes that are only around $24 each. I also want one of the levels to be a cake topper with cupcakes around it. It will be a variety of cuteness and fun!

The little favor boxes Ginhamchinese140 look something like this only with dots. Plus more ribbon & little charms from JoAnn's.

Invite_2The Invites: They went out a while ago, but I havn't had a chance to write about them. I wanted to wait until our guests received them anyway. I was looking online at different and beautiful invites when I came across the perfect one. It was totally different from what I had in mind, but was perfect for us. Here is a picture of the invite proof.

It's a 3 fold white card with a super cute vintage photo of a couple dancing with lampshades on their heads. I found them on www.invitationlane.com under 'Something Different'. The price was great and you got a lot of extras like little tissue squares and inside envelopes. We also ordered the matching rsvp cards.

11051_077_3 The Dress: So, my dress is almost done. I had my final fitting and they have a few more tweeks to do, but it is looking amazing! I'm going to put a picture of the sketch for it here and post pictures from the wedding later. I've ordered red salsa shoes from a dance shoe website which makes the shoes super comfortable and so cute!

Hair1thumbnailThe Hair: This is a tiny picture of what I'm planning for my hair. I want it to be down in a 50's style with wave and a clip. I'm still debating a little hat. I have my hair & make-up trial at the Derby Salon on Sept 4th. So exciting as I never get to primp :) All is pretty much going to plan, we have a few more things to pick up (booze, cake, license) but full steam ahead to Mrs. now!

Summer Sale!

Sale is on! Lot's of summer stuff is going to the sale rack and on sale online! www.shopfrockshop.com

The new fall has started to arrive, I will be posting some pics soon and new pieces on the website in the next few days! Jason, my fiance :), will be running the website full time as of the end of August, so the updates will be more current with the retail shop. I'm off to Magic in Las Vegas at the end of August to look for gorgeous holiday dresses and yummy new spring. I'm doing 5 trade shows in three days. Vive la Vegas!

We were listed in August 'Seattle' Magazine as one of 133 best shops! The article is very funny, it starts out by saying, "Suzy Fairchild never wears pants..." well now I can't ever wear pants! You can check out our press page Here .

Go tee...

Now, this is a neat idea I found online today. It's a t-shirt company that will print your t-shirt designs, but will also host your own online t-shirt shop for your new line. Free. That is really great for those our there itch'n to get your art out on chests.

Our new baby...

8 week old Miniature Schnauzer puppy! We brought him home a couple of days ago, adopting him from a lovely woman who rescues dogs. His name is Buster and he is wonderful, so lovely and fun. He is having a great time tormenting Lucy, our big dog, and Molly the cat.

There are more pictures of him on Flickr . We are going to the beach tonight, so hopefully more cute pictures to follow.

Sidewalk sale is still on...

Due to the grand weather we have kept the sidewalk sale on! I've popped a few of the sale items up onto the website as well. Prices might even lower on some items by the weekend!

Oh Yeah, that's right...

The Frock Shop website is LIVE! It took 3 months to complete (one month longer than opening the store!) Check it out! We will be updating it weekly with new product.  For a while the website will be a reflection on the inventory in the physical shop so some size will sell out faster than others. Here is the link to the shop:

Blossoms...

Weddingbouquet I walked down to Ballard today for my appointment with the flourist at Ballard Blossom to pick out my bouquet flowers for the wedding. I'm going with all red roses, gerber daisies and a few other gorgeous red flowers. Similar to this bouquet that I found on brides.com. It will be a tight, low bouquet with a white and black ribbon trim (found on sale at Joann's). My bouquet will have some white flowers with a red stripe through them as well. My sisters maid of honor bouquet will be all red.

After I left the flourist and on my way to Joann's to look at ribbons I noticed that the camera shop next door to Ballard Blossoms had some new scrapbooking supplies. I went in to discover the biggest supply of the most wonderful printed papers by American Crafts . I'm so excited about this new find! Joann's seemed to be the only place to find any groovy card making supplies, but anyone who lives in Ballard knows that the tiny Joann's there has a very sad little collection of paper. If you are looking for some gorgeous printed paper for cardmaking or scrapping I would recommend checking out Ballard Camera on market street. Here are a few pictures of the great prints you can find there:

A lot of the papers are double sided, so great for cardmaking!
