Our little bean...

I have decided to start writing about Jason and my wonderful news, I am 16 weeks pregnant with our little baby girl!

Bean pics The first 3 months were quite difficult with the constant sea sickness and exhaustion, but I am now finally enjoying being pregnant and have a whole new energy that I didn't expect to have. During the first months I didn't have the energy to clean the house or even socialize, but now I'm feeling great and am looking forward to all the preparations. I'm so glad that we found out we were having a girl, I couldn't imagine not knowing the gender. Now we can plan and get ready for her. One of the first things we did was go to the Goodwill and find some of the cutest baby outfits for only 99cents! The Rack also has lots of baby stuff for under $5. Jason is in total house remodel mode with the downstairs bathroom almost finished and then onto the kitchen and nursery.

164535076_7ff7ae39ca I have boxes of vintage children's patterns, some you can see here on Flickr, and bins of vintage fabrics just waiting to be made up into adorable baby clothes, as well as some stuffed animals and some crochet items, Yay!  I will post pictures of my little projects here from time to time.

I am at the stage right now where I don't look totally pregnant, but nothing fits, so I just look chubby. Clothes hunting has been a major thing for me lately. Today I am wearing a great Gap dress that is not maternity, but has a drawstring under the bust and is super comfy. Over it I have a BP army jacket that is years old and of course doesn't button up any more, plus boots because it was raining. I could wear this outfit everyday! Yesterday, I wore an Anthropologie top that I bought when I found out I was pregnant and a jersey peasant skirt that I made last year, also so comfy!

Finally, some wedding photos...

So, J & I got married on Sept 16th, 2007 and I'm finally posting some pictures of the wedding. I kept putting if off as there were 2000 photos to go through! Here are a few of our fabulous evening wedding on the Skansonia Ferry Boat that is parked on north Lake Union, Seattle.

The cakes...

There are more pics on my Flickr page and I'm adding more of the band and the dancing soon. It was an amazing evening, so exciting and romantic. Our friend's The Dusty 45's swung the night away and everyone danced after a lovely buffet. The Skansonia is the perfect location for a vintage inspired wedding and they take care of almost everything for you! All you have to do is show up, that is my kind of wedding :)

Spring photo shoot...

We managed to catch a fairly sunny day here in Seattle to do our photo shoot with Lucy, our lovely model, for the new Spring product going up this week on www.shopfrockshop.com . Here are a few great ones:

Balls of love...

I was totally inspired when I saw the baking genius of Bakerella and took it upon myself to try and make some of her scrumptious cake-balls for my friend Elba's baby shower. I was thrilled with how easy they were and a total hit at the party! I got all of the supplies: lollipop sticks, plastic safety pins, dipping chocolate, basket & grass at Michaels craft store. The cake inside is just a Devils Food mix and choc frosting hand mixed together. Find the recipe at Bakeralla , these would be great for Easter :)

Sprucing up...

Now that Spring is on it's way I've had a chance to do some updates to Frock Shop that I've been thinking about. Even though I have just a small amount of jewelry the display of it has bothered me since opening. I've put together some great glass cases and merchandised the jewelry on necks and cute diplays, I'm so pleased with how it looks now! We will be putting more jewelry up on the website soon too.

Jingle all the way...

I have started buying more cute Christmas tree ornaments than usual! Last year I went to lots of estate sales and bought some wonderful vintage glass ornaments. This year I'm in love with vintage looking animals, glitter penguins and flocked deer. I'm going to post some more photos of the cute ornaments that I purchase last weekend in Vancouver. Here are the two that I found at Urban Outfitters (www.urbanoutfitters.com ) online:

They are designed by the artist Jennifer Murphy whom I've always admired. So, was please to find these for $10 (a bit more than what I normally spend at estate sales, but worth it! :) Now it's going to be a challenge to keep the puppy away from the tree and all of the dangling toys!

Speaking of puppy, he is all grown up now! Jason has taken some beautiful photos of little Buster in our studio:

If you scroll down to older entries you can see the baby pictures of Buster when he was just a couple months old. Now after his snip and his grooming he is all growed up. Still acts like a puppy though!

I am pretty behind on my blog entries, its hard to keep up sometimes! I am posting a picture of the Frock Shop holiday window here as well. The sale is on until into January, with more going on sale each week.
