buying vintage fabric. I have started going to estate sales again. Little Sadie in the carrier on my front, checking out all the goodies. I have found a few pieces of groovy vintage fabrics and snagged a bunch of vintage craft magazines, my favorite, I don't know when I will ever get a chance to read them, but I feel like I have saved them from an undetermined end. That is how I justify buying many, many vintage patterns as well, I'm saving them :)
This one I found on ebay, so very dangerous. I have been so good and haven't bought anything off ebay in ages. But, once you start, it's very hard to stop! I'm on it every day now like it's my job.
For Mother's Day I am giving my mother in law who quilts this cute pastry box of Moda quilting honeybuns on special from Fabric.com. I think you could pretty much put anything in a pastry box and I would buy it.

is for Sale. I'm not sure how you buy a trade show, but there you are. I haven't gone in a few years and thought recently that I would the next show only to find that it is retired pending a buyer. There really aren't a lot of fashion fabric resources in Seattle. A couple very nice fabric shops (mostly for bridal) and the rest is mainly quilting.
It makes me miss my favorite fabric shop in London, The Cloth Shop, which looks like is now called The Cloth House. They used to have a sneaky shop on a side street in Camden, but it's not on their website so, not sure if it is even there anymore. The Berwick one is lovely and a must see for any fabric lover shopping in London. Berwick street in Soho has a great selection of lovely fabric shops on both sides of the street. On their website in the gallery section they have a great picture of shopping bags made from recycled Indian newspapers. Love.
at Fabric Mart. Anna Sui is my all time favorite designer. I have always loved her feminine, Rock & Roll aesthetic with just gorgeous layering and combinations of fabrics, colors and prints.

Fabric Mart has quite a large selection of Anna Sui design room originals in limited lengths with prices ranging from $10- $30.
They also have some cute Maggy London print jersey.
Crafting a Green World is a terrific resource for organic projects & products including their wonderful list of the Top 10 Modern, Eo-Friendly Fabrics on Etsy. It is so exciting and inspirational to see such lovely designs on organic fabrics and they take the work out of searching high and low for them.

I love estate sales! I love fabric! I just can't control myself and now I can't decide which to keep and which to sell. I hit the mother-load at the last estate sale, it was literally a house full of fabric. It was a good thing I had my sweetheart with me, he is great for the lifting and carrying of boxes of fabric! I will be putting a lot of this cuteness up into my ebay store soon, if I can part with it!
