So Smart!
I found this LeeWards ad in a 1968 knitting magazine called Workbasket. LeeWards was apparently bought out by Michael's in 1994. I wish that kits like this were still made! I have one of these bags that I bought at an estate sale for $8. I have seen them in vintage shops for over $30. Here is a picture of the one that I have:
Now I want to find more of these, especially the peacock design!
this is wild!!! Very unusual, a headturner for sure!!!

oh my! talk about a flash to the past! my mom had one of those, and i am pretty sure it was the peacock one! it did come in a kit, and she put it together and glued all those sequins and the braid on. i remember her carrying that bag for a long time!
